This policy applies whether you are a service provider, member, or simply a visitor.

This Privacy Policy applies to web sites and Services that are owned and operated by us. Irrespective of which country you reside in or supply information from, you authorize Rapitow to use Your Information in Canada and any other country where Rapitow operates or plans to operate.

1. Children under the age of 13

Our Website, the Rapitow App and our Services are not intended for children under 13 years of age. No one under age 13 may provide any personal information to or on the Website or via the Rapitow App. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, do not use or provide any information on this Website or the Rapitow App or on or through any of its features, register on the Website or the Rapitow App, make any purchases through the Website or the Rapitow App, use any of the interactive or public comment features of this Website or the Rapitow App, or provide any information about yourself to us, including your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address or any screen name or user name you may use. If we learn that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information.

Roadside Service Providers, your Information means:

  • your name, contact details such as, e-mail address, and/or telephone number, other registration or profile information, and reporting information about your use of Rapitow;
  • details required in order provide fee payment information to you and your towing company;
  • ratings information (where other Rapitow users (e.g., Rapitow members) are able to rate you as a Rapitow service provider);
  • location data;
  • driver performance, vehicle and provided services information
  • your responses to surveys that we might ask you to complete for research purposes;
  • your device type, your wireless phone carrier and your individual device ID;
  • information when you participate in a contest or promotion sponsored by Rapitow;
  • information in the rare chance you report a problem with Rapitow.
  • Passengers, your Information means:

  • registration information provided by you to use Rapitow such as your name, contact details such as car make and model, address, e-mail address, and/or telephone number, other registration information or profile information, including any photographs, reporting information about your Rapitow membership and payment details;
  • location data;
  • your responses to surveys that we might ask you to complete for research purposes;
  • your device type, your wireless phone carrier and your individual device ID;
  • information when you enter a contest or promotion sponsored by Rapitow;
  • information in the rare chance you report a problem with Rapitow.

    As you navigate through and interact with our Website, the Rapitow App and our Services, we may automatically collect certain information including:

  • information about your equipment, your device type, your wireless phone carrier and your individual device ID;

  • details of your visits, including traffic data, location data, logs and other communication data and the resources that you access and use on the Website and the Rapitow App;
  • information about your computer and internet connection, including your IP address, operating system and browser type.
  • The information we collect automatically is statistical data. It helps us to improve our Website and to deliver a better and more personalized service.

    The technologies we use for this automatic data collection may include:

  • Cookies (or browser cookies). We do use certain cookies as part of our Services. The cookies used are session cookies for the purpose of enabling you to use the Services (for example, to enable you to complete a registration or access information).   • to provide Rapitow's optimum services to you including, but not limited to, providing roadside assistance services;
  • to provide you with information, products or services that you request from us;
  • to administer your account;
  • to fulfill any other purpose for which you provide it;
  • your contact details may be used to notify you about changes to Rapitow or respond to any communications or requests from you;
  • to provide you with marketing communications about our products and services, and those of third parties which we think may be of interest to you, if you have consented to or not opted out of receiving such communications. This may include marketing communications on social media platforms (such as Facebook) used by you.
  • to monitor the use of Rapitow;
  • to investigate any complaints or potential breaches of the Services;
  • to collect and process fees;
  • to provide you with notices about your account membership;
  • to help verify your identity;
  • to authorize your credit card;
  • to address or prevent fraud or prohibited or illegal activities;
  • to improve the Services and the content and layout of our Website and the Rapitow App;
  • where you are a service provider, to carry out our obligations and enforce our rights arising from any contracts entered into between you and us, including for billing and collection;
  • for any other purpose, with your consent.
  • 3. Disclosure of Your Information

    We may share or disclose non-private, non-personal, or aggregated information about our users without restriction.

    We may disclose personal information that we collect or you provide as described in this Privacy Policy:

  • to third parties engaged by us to provide you with marketing communications about our products and services, if you have consented to or not opted out of these disclosures. Third parties may include social media platforms (such as Facebook) where we provide limited information about our users (e.g. their email address), so that the social media platform can provide us with an anonymous demographic profile of our users who have profiles on that social media platform to inform our targeted marking activities on that platform. We contractually require these third parties to keep personal information confidential and use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them;
  • to fulfill the purpose for which you provide it. For example, if we develop an "e-mail a friend" feature and you provide us with e-mails to use that feature, we will transmit the contents of that e-mail and your e-mail address to the recipients;
  • for any other purpose disclosed by us when you provide the information;
  • with your consent;
  • where required by law, regulation or legal proceedings;
  • to comply with any court order, law or legal process, including to respond to any government or regulatory request;

  • You assume all responsibility for any loss of privacy or other harm resulting from your voluntary disclosure of Your Information.

    3.1 How do we protect Your Information?

    We have implemented measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration and disclosure. All information you provide to us is stored on our secured servers. Any payment transactions will be encrypted. The safety and security of Your Information depends on you. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password that enables you to access certain parts of the Services, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.

    Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the Internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect Your Information, we cannot guarantee the security of this data. Any and all transmissions and submissions are at your own risk. Once we have received Your Information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorized access, but we do not represent, warrant or guarantee that any personal information will be secure.

    Additionally, we cannot control the actions of other users with whom you may choose to share Your Information.

    Therefore, we cannot and do not guarantee that Your Information will not be viewed by unauthorized persons.

    We are not responsible for the circumvention of our privacy settings or security measures.

    We aim to ensure that the personal information collected by us is accurate and up to date. In most, if not all cases, we cannot delete your personal information except by also deleting your user account. We may not accommodate a request to change information if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect.

    If Your Information is amended or deleted, pre-amended or pre-deleted copies of Your Information may remain viewable in cached and archived pages, or might have been copied or stored by other Website users. We are not responsible for Your Information remaining viewable under these circumstances.

    Once we disclose some of Your Information to third parties, we cannot access that information any longer and cannot force the deletion or modification of any such information by the parties to whom we have made those disclosures.
